Providing Financial Assistance for Children and their families with Life Threating Conditions in the province of NL. Our foundation covers a wide range of medial expenses for the families such as travel accommodations airfare drugs and medical expenses not covered by health plans or MCP. We have a referral process for families to apply for funding and our board of directors will review the referral to see whether we provide assistance or not. We work directly with the social workers at the Janeway Children's Hospital that hands out the referral directly to the family that would fall under our scope and sends them back to us so that our board can review the referral for approval. This has enabled us to reach so many more families to provide the financial assistance they need so that they can focus on what most important their sick child. We have also been working with the Social Work team at The Janeway Children's Hospital to help children that we have may not cross paths with our current board member. This allows us to broaden our reach to help as many families as we can.
