WE STILL HOLD WEEKLY 'ZOOM' MEETING FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH LANGUAGE DISORDERS. THIS HAS BEEN VERY POPULAR AND WE HAVE MEMBERS FROM ALL OVER ALBERTA JOIN US. THERE IS A LARGE AMOUNT OF VOLUNTEERS WHO HELP FACILITATE THESE GROUPS. MOSTLY BEING STUDENTS IN THE SPEECH AND LANGUAGE MASTERS PROGRAM AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ALBERTA. WE ALSO HAVE STUDENTS THAT HAVE THERE DEGREES CONTINUE WITH THESE GROUPS. IT HAS BECOME A SOCIAL AND THERAPEUTIC VENUE FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH LANGUAGE DISORDERS. New programs

WE ARE HOPING TO START IN PERSON ONE ON ONE THERAPY THIS UPCOMING YEAR. THIS IS AM AREA THAT IS OF GREAT IMPORTANCE TO THIS POPULATION OF ADULTS WITH LANGUAGE DISORDERS. THESE PROGRAMS WILL GIVE MORE INTENSIVE THERAPY TO THOSE WHO OTHERWISE CAN NOT AFFORD IT. THESE OPPORTUNITIES WILL BE DELIVERED BY CERTIFIED SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPISTS.
