The purpose of Step to Humanity Association is to reduce poverty in developing countries especially in Asia and Africa by providing (a) employment related skills training to unemployed and disadvantaged youth (b) educational expenses to secondary and post secondary underprivileged students and (c) sanitation and medical supplies/ services to poor people. Educational expenses to secondary and post secondary students: STHA is providing financial assistance for underprivileged students at secondary levels in Bangladesh with the help of two volunteers. This project helps poor families and prevents dropping out from school due to financial hardship. Medical treatment expenses for poor people: STHA is providing support with medical treatment in Bangladesh. This project helps poor families who could not afford their treatment due to their financial hardship and it regained their hope to contribute in community. STHA is implementing this project with the help of two volunteers. STHA made sure to have direct control on implementing this project by signing contract with beneficiaries and volunteers and collecting expenditure receipts/bills from volunteers. Goat distribution to reduce poverty: STHA is distributing goats among unprevailed women in Bangladesh to improve their livelihood with the help of one volunteer. Poverty reduction through cashew seed distribution among elementary school students in Nigeria: STHA is distributing cashew tree seeds among potential primary school students in Nigeria to help reducing poverty. Students will sow the seeds and observe germination and those whose seeds grow will take care of the plant and transfer it to their household. After three years it will provide a source of income for up to twenty years. Three volunteers helped to implement this project. STHA made sure it's full control by providing direct supervision making an agreement and collecting bills from volunteers.

New programs

STHA has taken a new initiative to establish a Walk in Medical Clinic project in Bangladesh aiming to deliver essential healthcare services to underserved populations in Bangladesh. Starting in September 2025 this one and half year initiative will deploy mobile clinics with medical professionals diagnostic tools and medicines to remote villages lacking adequate healthcare infrastructure. Key objectives include providing comprehensive healthcare reducing health inequalities enhancing health education and awareness and building local capacity. This initiative will serve thousands reduce preventable diseases and improve quality of life creating a scalable and replicable healthcare model. This project will be implemented with the help of three volunteers and STHA will make sure to have full control by signing proper contracts with volunteers and community leaders.
