Since 2016 Soso World Ministries has been building a Mobile Food Distribution Program primarily among Toronto Community Housing Residence within Scarborough. We used our weekly and in many cases exclusive corporate donations from: Cobbs Bread Brick Street Bakery Little Caesars Baxters Bakery Adaria Vending Services and other business as opportunities arise to provide food donations to residents from our three days per week programs. The success and the demand from residents allowed us to serve twenty-two TCHC communities and thousands of residents over the past five years. We provide primarily food and at times clothing to those in most need - unemployed those with physical and mental illnesses drug and alcohol addictions seniors in need single mothers and anyone else in need. We pickup some donations and others are delivered to us at 2 different Toronto Community Housing locations and a third private location we rent. We then sort and package those products in smaller quantities to give out. We then give them out for free at our 3 food bank locations as well as 11 other locations. We have a commercial van to move food around. We plan to expand to additional locations and building as there is an ever growing need.
