ONE IN CHRIST COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION OF ALBERTA

During the summer we offered special programs for seniors and families ensuring that people of all ages can take part in something meaningful. These programs are designed to bring happiness encourage social interaction and strengthen community ties. Last year June 2023 the organization hosted a BBQ picnic which was a fun and lively event. Families friends and neighbors came together to enjoy delicious food games and music. It was a wonderful day filled with laughter and connection and many people appreciated the effort to create such a welcoming atmosphere. For children the organization partnered with a local church to organize a Community Kids Summer Camp. This camp provided children with a chance to play learn and make new friends in a safe and nurturing environment. Parents felt at ease knowing their kids were engaged in positive activities while building valuable life skills. In December One in Christ Community organized Community Christmas Program. This event was free of charge and welcomed about 250 people from the community. The program included festive decorations music and delicious food. Families came together to celebrate the season share stories and create cherished memories. It was a heartfelt event that highlighted the true meaning of Christmas—love joy and togetherness. In addition to these seasonal activities the organization holds monthly prayer meetings that are open to everyone. These gatherings take place in members’ homes or rented spaces to accommodate larger groups. The meetings provide a peaceful and supportive environment where people can come together to pray reflect and find encouragement. These gatherings play an important role in fostering a sense of faith-based community.

One in Christ Community Organization works hard to help people in the community. Along with the programs they already have they are planning new ones to make life better for everyone. These new programs will bring people together support those in need and help build strong relationships. One of their future plans is to keep holding monthly faith-based meetings. These meetings will be a place where everyone can come together to pray talk about their faith and share their thoughts. These gatherings will help people feel connected and supported in their spiritual journey. The organization also wants to help homeless people by starting a program to give out clothes and food. They will collect things like warm clothes blankets food and other items people need. Then they will share these with people who don’t have a place to stay. This program will show kindness and help people who are struggling. For children the organization is planning more summer camps. These camps will be a fun and safe place where kids can play learn and make new friends. There will be games crafts sports and other fun activities. Parents will be happy knowing their kids are spending their time doing something positive. The organization also has plans for seniors with special fall programs. These programs will include social activities exercise sessions and workshops to keep seniors active and healthy. Seniors will have chances to meet others share stories and enjoy their time together. Another program will focus on helping women through faith-based teachings. The organization will set up activities where women can learn talk and grow together. They will organize small groups workshops and meals where women can support each other share ideas and make new friends. These plans show how One in Christ Community Organization cares about everyone in the community. They want to help people feel included supported and connected. With these programs they will bring hope kindness and joy to more people in the future.
