HOPE 4 HUMANITY ISLAMIC CHARITY

1. Through recommendations and visits Third Pillar has partnered up with several shelters and helps provide meals on a monthly or bi-weekly basis. The shelters serve many different communities and backgrounds. Third Pillar assists a youth shelter that is run by the YMCA: Sprott House a women and children shelter Sisterings and in addition other shelters such as Fred Victors. Third Pillar coordinates with case workers and managers to provide meals that would meet the various dietary needs of the residents. Third Pillar provides shelters with fresh produce snacks and other items upon request as Third Pillar is able to. In addition PPE was provided to shelters at the start of the Covid19 pandemic. 2. For the unhoused Third Pillar organizes winter outreach days. For these outreach days Third Pillar reaches out to family relatives friends acquaintances and business’ we know to raise money in support of the unhoused. During the outreach days volunteers split into groups around downtown Toronto and connected with those that are living outside and in the cold. The goal is to engage them in conversation and try to better understand the situation and circumstances that have led to their current situation (a chance for them to talk to someone) and understand what help they need. In addition to the social emotional outreach Third Pillar provides them with a warm meal from small local businesses/restaurants. They are also provided with needed winter accessories such as hats gloves scarves socks long underwear. Personal hygiene is a challenge for many of the unhoused which can lead to other complications so Third Pillar also provides them with toiletries. With the Covid 19 pandemic encouraging many people to stay home and isolate this option is not available to everyone to help them they are provided masks and hand sanitizer. 3. Supporting food banks on First Nations Reserves by collecting donations and purchasing staple grocery items and basic school supplies. After consultation with First Nation Bands. 4. Third Pillar has been supporting refugees from Syria and Afghanistan that have been settled in the Greater Toronto Area by Federal Government services. We support them by periodically providing groceries and other household items. 5. Jamaica - relief of poverty as per CRA's approval letter of May 15 2023. 6. international relief of poverty
