The Society operated virtual regional and provincial events for secondary middle and elementary school students to provide the students a chance to apply specific skills in the STEM fields of science technology engineering and mathematics. These skills were applied by the designing manufacturing programming and operation of robots within specified rules. Awards and trophies were provided to students and teams to recognize their accomplishments within the robotics competition. Sponsorships were also provided for local provincial and international competitions in the student competitive robotics field. The intended outcome as a result of these efforts is for the Society to encourage students to pursue further studies and careers in the STEM disciplines of science technology engineering and mathematics.
