Ongoing programs
The Calgary Climate Hub is a volunteer-led non-profit organization that unites a diverse group of Calgarians committed to working together to take meaningful local action on climate change. With the help of 609 volunteers the following programs were continued in 2024: *Forests for Calgary – Planting of two Miyawaki tiny forests. *A Climate of Change web video series Season 5 *The Climate Lens podcast which is now broadcast on a community radio station. *Hub and Spokes Events which introduce Calgarians to downtown cycle tracks. *Eco Elders for Climate Action – Seniors for Climate Day of A… Show more

New actions in 2024 were: *Participation in the City of Calgary Blanket Rezoning Hearing for regulations to increase housing density in existing neighborhoods. *Creation of an Online Calgary Tree Equity Tool which allows tree canopy and its impacts on urban temperature to be evaluated across Calgary.
