THE CMETRUST POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM PROVIDED SUPPORT FOR SCHOLARS TO ATTEND POST-SECONDARY INSTITUTIONS IN KENYA. IN ADDITION SECONDARY SCHOOL GRADUATES PARTICIPATED IN A 3 MONTH COMPUTER TRAINING PROGRAM AT A LOCAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE. CMETRUST ALSO PROVIDED FUNDS FOR SCHOOL BREAK ACTIVITIES AND WORKSHOPS ON HEALTH LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. EFFECTIVE APRIL 2022 CMETRUST ENTERED INTO A CONTRIBUTION FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH THE GLOBAL AFFAIRS CANADA (GAC)WITH A FOCUS ON PROVIDING ACADEMIC OPPORTUNITIES BASIC LIFE SKILLS AND EDUCATION AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR 150 GIRLS AND YOUNG WOMEN FROM THE MATHARE VALLEY. THE PROJECT ACTIVITIES WILL COVER THE PERIOD FROM THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE FUNDING AGREEMENT TO NO LATER THAN MARCH 31 2026.
