Ongoing programs
Pet Food Bank & Emergency Pet Hampers - We support low income individuals with pet food with our pet food bank and provide emergency hampers in emergencies such as fires floods homeless in inclimate weather domestic violence victims fleeing with the pet children being placed in foster care with pets. Approximately 80 volunteers work in this program throughout the year. This program takes about 35-40 hours per week. Pet Food Bank & Emergency Pet Hampers - We support low income individuals with pet food with our pet food bank and provide emergency hampers in emergencies such as fires floods homeless in inclimate weather domestic violence victims fleeing with the pet children being placed in foster care with pets. Approximately 80 volunteers work in this program throughout the year. This program takes about 35-40 hours per week. High season may require significantly more time such as cold/hot weather systems for our homeless population. Vet Care Assistance - We offer 1-2 low income vaccine and wellness clinics for the pets of the most vulnerable ever year. One of these clinics is specifically for seniors/veterans. These clinics typically see 50 pets and they are treated for any medical concerns they may be experiencing as well as vaccines. The clinic is free for our clients. We have approximately 20 volunteers at each clinic. We also offer vet care assistance (when funding permits) up to $300 for the following groups: Seniors/Veterans the homeless and children in foster care with pets. We try to also assist pets injured as a result of domestic violence incidents. Approximately 50 volunteers are involved in this program yearly. This program takes approximately 20 hours per week Grooming Assistance - this program allows low income individuals to access a one time free groom for their pets. This program involves approximately 30 volunteers a year and takes approximately 2 hours per week. Lily's Legacy - this program is specifically for children in foster care with their pets. We provide pet food and essentials any vet care or vaccines requires as well as grooming assistance. This program can be accessed monthly for up to two years while the child is in care with their pet. There are approximately 25 volunteers involved with this program and takes approximately 18 hours per week.
New programs
Pet Safekeeping - this program allows vulnerable individuals in crisis to put the pets in our care temporarily while they tend to their immediate needs such as medical care treatment or domestic violence shelter/resources. This program can be accessed one time per year for a month at a time. This program involves approximately 25 volunteers and is a 24/7 offering.
