STREET CATS OF REGINA INC.

SCOR volunteers have been dedicated to take as many cats as possible off the streets. When possible each cat or litter is rescued given vetting given foster care and then rehomed. If the cat is feral we then simply TNR (Trap Neuter Release). The cat is sterilized and given vaccinations and then returned to the area from which he/she was taken. The amount of trapping has increased and we have several areas of the city where we are working on and will do followup over the years. We fundraise constantly to pay for the vet bills. We continue with our shelter workshop that was started in 2023. Providing shelters links to our trapping areas as usually those who need shelters have an excess of cats in the area. SCOR does private adoptions but we also use our local Pet Depot which we have worked with since 2019. SCOR tries to educate the public through articles on our Facebook page. Topics deal with current issues the rescue is working on (ie a hoarding situation) or the articles might be more about compassion for all animals. We help families sterilize their cats when they cannot afford it and we sometimes offer our discount at the vet clinic or a payment plan to help those who cannot get their cats to a veterinarian. As well we supply food and litte when that help is required. We have a desire to make a difference in this city and surrounding areas regarding cats on the street reproducing a perpetuating the problem. We will do everything we can to change the cycle.
