Education Program: Providing participating children necessary school uniforms and supplies needed to attend public school and providing supplementary tutoring through hired qualified local teachers. Religious Program: Providing participating children and youth with Bible-based group teaching and praise/worship sessions. Street Youth programs: Providing youth living on the street with weekly meals personal hygiene support and guidance back to school or subsequent programs teaching entrepreneurship. Street Youth are also provided with opportunities to participate in Christian devotions and praise/worship times. Entrepreneurship training is provide through several initiatives including: Poultry (raising chickens for sale and consumption) Local vegetable garden (for sale and consumption) and small retail shop management. These are managed in Zambia by locals under the direction of Brook of Hope Home Board of Directors in Canada. Community outreach: Purchases of school uniforms and shoes and other items needed to support the Education Program are done with local businesses helping to support the local economy. Contact with local community leaders such as local church pastors regarding these programs helps maintain local awareness of our programs ensuring the work is relevant and well-received. Again this is managed by our local contacts under the direction of Brook of Hope Canada.
