Farmhouse Garden Animal Home

We have an ongoing rescue and rehabilitation program for farmed animals that are neglected discarded or in need of a safe home. We step in and give the animal a safe home where they can be taken care of no matter how old they are or in what condition they are. Animals may come from local farms that have surrendered the animals or are discarded by previous owners and then are found and brought them to us. Animals usually come to us as a last resort as they would otherwise be in unsafe circum-stances or be sent to slaughter.- We provide species-appropriate shelter and care for farmed animals in our care. This includes ensuring we have proper coops barns and pens for chickens cows and equine and proper infrastructure to store their feed. It also includes regular maintenance of structures and machinery. Many of the animals at the sanctuary also need frequent maintenance and veterinary care such as hoof trimmings vaccinations and medical treatments. - We provide educational opportunities to the public. We educate the public about how to care for farmed animals as well as how to recognize and prevent cruelty towards farm animals in the hopes that in the future these animals are treated with compassion. Through social media printed materials and public events we promote awareness and understanding to the general public. Through public events humane education programming for kids and private tours we teach the community around us about animal welfare.
