Dr. Adekunle & Mrs. Adefunke Onabadejo Foundation is committed to advancing education by providing scholarships to the less privileged to enable them to get to their next level of education. The Foundation provides scholarships to elementary secondary and post-secondary students in any part of the world based on a demonstrated financial need and academic merit. No matter the educational level at which the Foundation starts to support a student the Foundation does not stop until the student completes a post-secondary education provided the student re-qualifies each year. For example when the Foundation starts to support a student at the elementary level the Foundation sees the student through the secondary and post-secondary levels provided the student requalifies each year. In April of every year the Foundation announces the opening of scholarship applications for the upcoming school year through its website and social media. The Foundation also researches poor communities who would otherwise not be aware of this opportunity and directly inform their community leaders school headmasters and principals to invite students that require scholarships to attend elementary secondary or post-secondary school to submit their applications. Applications are accepted from April to May. In June the Foundation selects the students that receive scholarships from the pool of applications based on demonstrated financial need and academic merit. In July the Foundation will inform the successful applicants. In August the Foundation will verify that the successful applicants are still planning to attend school in the upcoming school year. The verification will include an official confirmation of enrollment and an invoice from the registrar's office both of which must be on the school's letterhead. The scholarships will comprise tuition fees and and if necessary a monthly allowance. The Foundation will transfer the tuition fees directly to the school's bank account and the monthly allowance to the student's bank account for every month that the student is in school. The monthly allowance will be contingent upon the student submitting a monthly progress report. The Foundation will recruit volunteers who have experience in academics to mentor the award recipients to ensure their success throughout the school year. No fees will be charged to the applicants at any time.
