Ongoing programs
We facilitated monthly healing circle & Full Moon ceremonies every month and other traditional ceremonies as needed. We did a day of gathering for Earth Day celebration April 2023 We did a Traditional Vision Quest in May 2023 We did the Women's Rites of Passage in June 2023 We did a Water Walk in July 2023 in January 2024 we did a week-end of sewing for women's traditional ribbon skirts - 18 women participated
New programs
The Gathering of the Wisdom Keepers was done in September 2024. This gathering focused on identity crisis this year. One of the objectives is to be able to teach those medicines to the youth so this knowledge is passed down from generation to generation and mostly to teach pride. we have created an Anishinabe Women's Council and the work will begin in 2025. It will be about educating and raising awareness about violence against women and the safety of our young girls.
