Ongoing programs
Out primary program is to complete renovations for families with children who have mobility issues. This past year we completed three renovations which included the following: wheelchair accessible bathroom bedroom door widening entry door threshold ramp; two vertical platform lifts for a garage door widening access to the basement garage and upper level of home and install ceiling rails. Out primary program is to complete renovations for families with children who have mobility issues. This past year we completed three renovations which included the following: wheelchair accessible bathroom bedroom door widening entry door threshold ramp; two vertical platform lifts for a garage door widening access to the basement garage and upper level of home and install ceiling rails. ARK is 100% volunteer run with approximately 30 volunteers that support committees including Finance Marketing Events Nominations Fund Development and Projects. Our project team is successful in sourcing up to 50% donated materials and time from the contractors who complete the projects.
New programs
We have completed the design for a wheelchair accessible bathroom. We are currently sourcing materials and services for this renovation with construction to start the end of November and projected completion end of January 2024. We are currently reviewing applications for projects to start before the end of May 31 2024.
