organize English learning classes through Zoom for seniors to learn new vocabularies and Canadian culture - teach seniors computer/mobile device literacy - appreciate volunteers through job hunting seminars resume and interview skill building and othertraining opportunities - lead weekly physical exercises including Yoga through online fit instructor - offer free annual income tax return filings thru CVITP program - maintain a website for seniors to revisit for information and to promote our services and programs to a broader community - recruit senior volunteers to share their talent with the group in painting Taichi calligraphy gardening cooking dancing and other topics - organize workshops including 'Learn to Camp' 'Walking Safe in Winter' 'Information on CommunityResources and Public Services' - teach seniors on how to keep a healthy diet and invite seniors to join cooking classes and workshops - teach seniors tools on mindfulness and meditation to minimize stress for better sleep quality - teach seniors how to identify red flags to address mental health issues and how to deal with themtactfully - give seniors tools and tips on how to address anxiety and pressure - organize virtual financial literacy seminars to local seniors inviting financial experts to give tips on howto manage finances - provide online sessions on how to manage online banking and on avoiding financial scams - present seniors techniques to identify different types of elder abuse and learn how to access resources to help them out - have seniors set up meetings with other seniors creating an online support network of seniors

Designed and initiated a new program called IDEAS strives to enrich the lives of seniors physically mentally and emotionally. The activities are structured around five main pillars (SOUND): S - Sing/Social Together: Vocal Sessions and Karaoke Activities. Social events with music will be offered throughout the project duration. Through the joy of music seniors can participate in vocal sessions and lively karaoke activities promoting emotional expression boosting mood and forging connections. O - Oral English: English Literacy Class English Corner and educational activities. Seniors are encouraged to participate in English learning sessions enhancing cognitive abilities and communication skills. English Corner provides a casual and interactive platform for practicing conversational English. IDEAS will offer information sessions and workshops through English learning; translation will be provided when needed. U - Unison With Music: Physical exercise including Yoga Tai Chi and Dance. Physical well-being takes center stage with these activities and the initiatives combine the benefits of movement and music to enhance flexibility balance and overall fitness. N - Notes Learning (Instruments): Instruments Learning and Practice Drumming with the Indigenous community and other learning sessions: Seniors can learn and practice playing musical instruments fostering creativity and cognitive engagement. Moreover the project collaborates with indigenous communities to offer unique drumming experiences celebrating diversity and cultural exchange. D - Digital World Exploration: The above activities are offered in person and/or online mode. Seniors will also participate in computer classes cell phone music apps Play and record music on electronic equipment etc. The IDEAS project recognizes the importance of digital literacy in today's world. It aims to bridge the digital divide among seniors ensuring they can engage with modern communication tools remain connected and enjoy sound and music electronically.
