Ongoing programs
CALGARY MULTICULTURAL ORCHESTRA PROGRAM. IT IS AN AFTER FREE-SCHOOL MUSIC PROGRAM BASED ON EL SISTEMA. WE PROVIDE FREE-LOAN INSTRUMENTS SCHOOL YEAR-ROUND FREE MUSIC LESSONS AS WELL SNACKS TO WHO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM CONSISTS IN MUSIC GROUP LESSONS AND ORCHESTRA REHEARSALS; EACH CHILD RECEIVES 4 HOURS OF MUSIC LESSON A WEEK. WE HAVE REGULAR PERFORMANCES DURING THE YEAR INCLUDING A CHRISTMAS CONCERT SPRING CONCERT AND END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR CONCERT AS WELL AS COMMUNITIES PERFORMANCES AROUND THE YEAR.
