THE SOCIETY HANDLED 120 INQUIRES FROM NEW IMMIGRANTS AND ASSISTED INLAND SEEKERS. MOSTLY DEALING WITH LEGAL MATTERS AND IMMIGRATION PROCESSES. THE SOCIETY CONTINUED TO LEAD NATURE WALKS AND 'CANADA 101'TO EDUCATE NEW IMMIGRATIONS ABOUT DAILY MATTERS AND CANADIAN LIVING.
New programs
ORGANIZED AND HOSTED A BC PROVINCIAL ELECTION CANDIDATES TOWNHALL MEETING WITH CANDIDATES FROM 4 MAJOR PARTIES AND OVER 100 ATTENDEES. THE EVENT WAS LIFE STREAMED WITH OVER 2 000 VIEWERS. THE PRGRAM ALSO TRAINED VOLUNTEERS TO US AI FOR INSTANTANEOUS TRANSLATION. THE SOCIETY APPLIED TO BC GAMING FUND FOR NEW PRO GRAMMES BUT WAS TURNED DOWN. UNDER DEVELOPMENT IS A LANGUAGE TUTORING PROGRAM FOCUSING ON DAILY LIVING ENGLISH USAGE.
