THE SCHOOL'S HIGHEST LEVEL STRING ENSEMBLE SINFONIETTE MADE UP OF 25 YOUNG STRING PLAYERS AGES 13-18 PERFORMS REGULARLY ACROSS VANCOUVER AND BEYOND. PROGRAMS TAKE PLACE THROUGHOUT THE TRADITIONAL SCHOOL YEAR (SEP - JUN) AND ARE ENHANCED BY SPRING BREAK AND SUMMER PROGRAMMING. THE SCHOOL HAS 125 CONTRACTED FACULTY MEMBERS AND HAS SERVED NEARLY 1 600 STUDENTS ANNUALLY. IN 2016 THE SCHOOL DEVELOPED AND LAUNCHED A NEW TRADITIONAL CHINESE MUSIC PROGRAM THE ONLY PROGRAM OF ITS KIND IN CANADA OFFERED BY A COMMUNITY MUSIC SCHOOL. THE SCHOOL ALSO HAS OUTDOOR FAMILY CLASSES IN PARKS ACROSS THE LOWER MAINLAND ONLINE LESSONS AND CLASSES ACROSS ALL AREAS OF PROGRAMMING HARP MASTERCLASS JAZZ IMPROVISATION MASTERCLASS TECHNOLOGY FOR MUSIC CREATOTS.
