At Better World Canada Foundation we are dedicated to creating positive social change and building a better world for all. Our mission is to empower individuals and communities in Canada to thrive in a diverse and inclusive society. With a vision of global access to opportunities resources and support for fulfilling lives we prioritize equity diversity and inclusion in all our endeavors. Throughout 2023 our activities were designed to align with our mission and vision. From community engagement and collaboration to education and empowerment we focused on addressing societal challenges and promoting social cohesion. These initiatives marked the initial start of our on-ground activities. Our efforts were organized into four main categories: Community Engagement and Collaboration: We worked closely with local communities government officials and stakeholders to identify priorities and co-create solutions. By facilitating partnerships and convening meetings we aimed to build inclusive and resilient communities. Education and Empowerment: Through workshops and presentations we equipped individuals with knowledge and skills to navigate complex issues and advocate for social justice. Our focus on youth engagement and cultural competency promoted personal and professional growth especially among marginalized groups. Environmental Sustainability and Indigenous Rights: Partnering with organizations we supported environmental conservation and Indigenous communities' rights. Our participation in advocacy campaigns and policy discussions aimed to amplify Indigenous voices and promote environmental stewardship. Global Collaboration and Knowledge Exchange: Engaging in international projects we shared best practices and contributed to global initiatives. Initiatives like the Arctic Project demonstrated our commitment to cross-border cooperation and solidarity with communities worldwide. Each activity underscores our commitment to advancing our mission and vision. By fostering inclusivity and empowering communities we strive to create a more just equitable and sustainable world for future generations.

In 2023/2024 we expanded our community engagement and programmatic impact across Montreal and beyond. Our activities were organized into four key areas all aligned with our mission and vision: Community Engagement and Collaboration: We worked with local communities municipalities and grassroots organizations to co-design inclusive initiatives. Notably we partnered with the AfroMusée Foundation and supported the Fabienne Colas Foundation’s Montreal Black Film Festival promoting cultural equity youth participation and civic dialogue. Meetings with the mayors of Westmount and Brossard focused on joint efforts in youth engagement social inclusion and public programming. Education and Empowerment: We delivered youth-focused workshops training sessions and outreach events addressing civic participation entrepreneurship and leadership. Collaborations with student groups and universities helped engage marginalized youth and equip them with the tools and confidence to lead change in their communities. Environmental Sustainability and Indigenous Rights: We continued our involvement in the EU Arctic Project supporting Indigenous communities on issues of environmental justice sustainability and cultural preservation. Our contributions focused on policy dialogue capacity-building and international cooperation. Global Collaboration and Knowledge Exchange: Through international partnerships and knowledge exchange initiatives we contributed to global discussions on youth empowerment environmental resilience and digital inclusion. These efforts reflect our commitment to cross-border learning and solidarity. Each initiative undertaken this year reinforced our belief in inclusive development and collective action. By empowering youth supporting cultural representation and advancing environmental and social justice Better World Canada Foundation remains focused on building a better future for all.
