TUPS works with its Ugandan partner Christian Model Ministries to deliver several charity programs in Uganda with a focus on: • Advancing education: Supporting children in-need to attend school and providing vocational training • Promoting health in rural areas: Supporting the delivery of medical and dental outreach • Advancing the Christian religion: Providing training to church leaders community discipleship and outreach • Relieving poverty: Developing village infrastructure to support women and children in-need and by giving direct assistance to them. Twenty three children attend primary and secondary schools in and around the district of Kampala who would not have otherwise. TUPS covers school fees uniforms supplies and for a few their boarding expenses. The school program also includes 15 children in the more under-developed north-east district of Karamoja. TUPS is also working with a new school in south-west Uganda to increase the number of attendees from the area. In 2024 the school program was extended to include 9 primary school and 6 secondary school children in the Gulu District. Three partnering Uganda missions with similar goals are also supported by TUPS: the Elizabeth Center in Mukono for mentally and physically disabled children; the Salaama School for the Blind in rural Mukono; and Shalom Rehabilitation Center in Kotido for street children. A technical training program started in early 2022 focuses on providing young people with an opportunity to learn software design and engineering skills using online pre-defined study modules. Students attend class and receive food and guidance. Some 12 students graduated in 2024 and a new cohort of 10 starts in September. Our representatives in CMM have also: visited prisons distributing bibles and food and offering encouragement and counselling; hosted dental and medical outreach; trained pastors and church leaders in the gospel; and supported emergency medical care and housing.
