Ongoing programs

We continue to work towards building low to moderate income independent seniors rental housing in our community with our partners BC Housing and CMHC. Our Crown Land has been transferred from the Ministry of Forests to the Ministry of Housing to secure financeable lease terms. Our Development Permit has been issued and we are currently awaiting our Building Permit to be issued by the Regional District of Nanaimo. We continue to work towards building low to moderate income independent seniors rental housing in our community with our partners BC Housing and CMHC. Our volunteer Board of 9 Directors continues their efforts to make our seniors housing project a reality. Our ongoing fundraising activities are further assisted by a volunteer pool of approximately 60 people. We are very active fundraisers having completed 7 community events during this period as well as assisted with 2 major local events - BC Bike Race Cumberland and Parksville Sand Sculpting Exhibition.
