Made by Momma is a grassroots for-impact organization located in Calgary. We help families facing situations of adversity and crisis by providing healthy meals wholesome baked goods baby essentials children’s items supportive in-home visitors and other services to allow vulnerable and struggling mothers and caregivers the time they need to rest recover and focus on their families and their health. Made by Momma is a grassroots for-impact organization located in Calgary. We help families facing situations of adversity and crisis by providing healthy meals wholesome baked goods baby essentials children’s items supportive in-home visitors and other services to allow vulnerable and struggling mothers and caregivers the time they need to rest recover and focus on their families and their health. Made by Momma is a volunteer-run donation-driven and impact-focused charity supporting thousands of people annually through our seven core charitable programs. 1. Meals and Food Hampers Program 2. Baby and Family Essentials Program 3. In-Home Support Programs 4. Christmas Programs (Adopt-a-Momma Santa's Workshop Christmas Dinner Hampers) 5. NICU Family Meals Program 6. The Happy Birthday Project 7. My New Bed Program Made by Momma provides services for mothers of young children affected by short-term or life-changing illness injury or adversity. In addition we offer support to new mothers as they adjust to motherhood and bond with their new baby. Made by Momma offers practical hands-on peer-to-peer support to help alleviate some of the stress that life-changing situations may bring as we know that sometimes moms are the ones who need to be taken care of. We allow mothers to self-refer and we treat all mothers with dignity and respect through their struggles. And while mothers can self-refer for support Made by Momma also receives client referrals from over 150 agencies/programs in Calgary/surrounding areas. The most common situations that Made by Momma support are: • families affected by cancer or other life-threatening illnesses • families whose children have severe childhood illness or special needs • the hospitalization of a child or parent • mothers and children who have left a situation of abuse • families transitioning from a homeless shelter into Calgary housing • loss of home due to fire or flood • new immigrants to Calgary/Canada • loss of job and families struggling financially • birth of multiple babies • mothers struggling through postpartum depression • pregnant and parenting teen mothers • supporting single mothers attending school • parents with children who are struggling after the death of their spouse 16 Years Serving our Community Volunteer-Run * Donation-Driven * Impact-Focused

The challenges related to the economy have hit many families very hard and those who were already facing a crisis situation have had even more adversity in their path. The economy the rising cost of food sky-high utilities lack of affordable housing and the increase in new comers have all added to the strain in people’s lives. Made by Momma is there to support these families by providing the following new programs and services: In addition to our regular 7 core programs we have: - Seen a large jump in requests for assistance - Increased the number of food hampers we provide - Expanded non-perishable hamper eligibility to include families with only school-aged children - Implemented a Wellness Phone Support Program for isolated and struggling mothers - Provided School Supply Packages for families now having to teach & learn from home - Created Snack-Packs – for families with school-aged children who are now home all day – and always hungry - Put together Boredom-Busters Activity Packs for kids of all ages at home and in need of some fun activities - Hosted weekly Pop Up Mom Shops where mothers can 'shop' at no cost for clothing shoes and accessories - Relaunched our Mom to Mom Market Boutique for families to pick out items (at no cost) that are needed for everyday life - clothing toys books household items etc. This program gives our clients autonomy providing them with the dignity of choice. Even now as I'm writing this I'm weeping. In 2023 we launched our Santa's Workshop Program in our new warehouse facility. In 2025 we launched our new Mom To Mom Market Boutique in one of our newly expanded buildings.
