Ongoing programs
1411 Volunteer hours were logged this year with an excess of 3500 contacts being made. The total eclipse of April 8th was a wonderful opportunity to engage the public on the topic of solar science. A great number of eclipse glasses were purchased and distributed for free along with education on how to observe the event safely. Monthly observatory open house events held in conjuntion with Queen's University in Kingston as well as Science Fair participation (judging and awarding of a prize) continue. Zoom and YouTube increasingly improve our abiity to bring a science based persuit to the general public.
