New programs

The Back Door Mission began a new 'Community Programs' initiative in 2024 which focused on providing low barrier opportunities for clients to participate in education health and support sessions with staff and partners. This included educational topics such as Harm Reduction Addictions Medicine and primary care when experiencing homelessness. They also took part in low barrier wellness and fitness classes such as Yoga and mindful meditation. These programs ran during normal operating hours and were planned with consultation with clients.
