FRASER VALLEY YOUTH SOCIETY IS A COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATION LOCATED IN MISSION BC. OUR SOCIETY CONSISTS OF A BOARD OF DIRECTORS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR PROGRAM COORDINATORS AND VOLUNTEERS. WE OPERATE A DROP-IN FOR GAY LESBIAN BISEXUAL TRANSGENDER QUEER QUESTIONING ALLIED AND AT RISK YOUTH WITHIN ABBOTSFORD MISSION AND CHILLIWACK BC. THE PROGRAMS INVOLVE PEER SOCIALIZATION GROUP DISCUSSIONS WORKSHOPS PRESENTATIONS HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION AND SPECIAL EVENTS. THERE HAS BEEN A LARGE INCREASE IN REQUESTS FOR PRESENTATIONS FROM OUTISDE OUR ORGANIZATION TO BETTER UNDERSTAND LGBTQ2S+ TERMS RISK FACTORS AND BEST PRACTICES FOR SUPPORTING THESE AT RISK YOUTH.
