SINCE INCEPTION IN 2007 THE ORGANIZATION HAS SERVED OVER 7 000 YOUTH ADULTS AND SENIORS ACROSS THE GTA THROUGH OUR LEADERSHIP EMPOWERMENT ACHIEVEMENT DETERMINATION (L.E.A.D.) PROGRAM. OUR ONGOING PROGRAM FOR YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS HELP WITH BUILDING THEIR SELF-ESTEEM AND EQUIPPING THEM WITH LIFE SKILLS THAT INCLUDE TIME MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS RESUME PREPARATIONS AND INTERVIEW SKILL PERSONAL S.W.O.T. ANALYSIS CAREER PLANNING AND COACHING FINANCIAL LITERACY CONFLICT RESOLUTION INTERNET EXPOSURE AND SAFEGUARDS STRATEGIC THINKING FACING FEARS CIVIC ENGAGEMENT AND VOLUNTEERISM AMONG OTHER THINGS. OUR ONGOING PROGRAMS FOR SENIORS FOCUS ON EDUCATIONAL CONTENT LIKE TIPS FOR HEALTHY EATING FALLS PREVENTION MEDICATION MANAGEMENT ELDER ABUSE AND FRAUD KEEPING PHYSICALLY ACTIVE COMBATTING ISOLATION AND TECHNOLOGY MADE SIMPLE AMONG OTHER THINGS. WE ALSO RUN INTERGENERATIONAL PROGRAMS WHERE THE SENIORS CONTINUE TO INTERACT SOCIALLY AND WORK ON PROJECTS WITH THE YOUTH. VOLINTEERISM FOR THE SUDENTS IS ALSO A MAIN PROGRAM FOCUS PROVIDING THEM WITH THE COMMUNITY HOURS REQUIRED TO GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL. WE ALSO CONTINUE TO INCORPORATE SPECIFIC MENTAL HEALTH EDUCATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES TO ADDRESS THE GROWING NEEDS OF THE INDIVIDUALS THAT WE SERVE. EACH DIRECTOR OF THE CHARITY ALSO INDIVIDUALLY CONTINUES TO ENGAGE IN ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING/MENTORING/COACHING YOUTH AND ADULTS.

New programs

OUR NEW PARTNERSHIP 3ITH IDRF AND SESHEME HAS ALLOWED US TO INTRODUCE NEW SPECIALIZED PROGRAMS GEARED TO VOLUNTEERS. OUT VOLUNTEERS ARE OFFERED MEANINGFUL WORK EXPERIENCE TO PREPARE THEM FOR THE WORKFORCE. WE HAVE ALSO EXPANDED OUR ONLINE AND IN-PERSON PRGRAM OFFERINGS IN 2024. NEW INTERGENERATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR SENIORS AND YOUTH WERE MADE POSSIBLE IN 2024 THROUGH FUNDING RECEIVED FROM EMPLOYMENT AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT CANADA NEW HORIZONS FOR SENIORS PROGRAM AND PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS AND CHARITIES.
