Ongoing programs
The Society had an agreement with Postmedia Network Inc. to run manage and administer its Raise-a-Reader campaign in B.C. starting 2019. The Society continued to receive foundation grants and donations from individual and corporate donors and ran the following programs (1) building a numeracy collection and tutor materials in our Resource Centre; (2) family literacy programs for immigrant families; and (3) one-to-one tutoring with vulnerable children reading below grade level; and (4) administering and distributing a bursary fund from The Vancouver Foundation for community-based adult li… Show more
