Guided by Indigenous teachings provides evidence-informed supportive services to all people in Calgary area to strengthen their circles of self family community culture. Nipisis (Cree for young willow) – specialized foster care for Indigenous youth in a variety of family- based homes. Oskipmatsahk (Cree for process of becoming an adult) – mentoring for youth discharged from the Nipisis program to increase self-esteem social skills and living skills. Nitsanak Mamawintowak (Cree for families coming together) – home based parenting support and education from Indigenous and western perspectives. Nanatawiho Kamik (Cree for healing lodge) - a holistic approach to healing and wellbeing for Indigenous people through traditional teachings and offerings and clinical supports. Diamond Willow Youth Lodge – designed by young people for young people where Indigenous youth connect with peers and participate in healing and well-being through variety of programs and supports. re: Vision Indigenous Youth Employment – support Indigenous youth gain employment with employers open to learning about the unique needs of the Indigenous community. Oskâpêwis (Cree for Elder’s helper helper at ceremonies) – Indigenous youth connect with Indigenous culture and ceremony through land-based activities and traditional teachings. Tawaw (Cree for welcome we’ve made space for you) Family Resource Networks - a hub and spoke model of service delivery to offer a range of early intervention and prevention services to vulnerable families that are grounded in Indigenous cultures and teachings. Ka-pe-kiwehtahat (‘bringing them home’ in Cree) – provide access to affordable safe housing options and prevent housing breakdown for Indigenous people through cultural supports. Strengthening Home Fires – housing program that supports Indigenous youth to identify access secure and maintain housing. Askiy-Pimatisiwin (Cree for earth gives life) – land-based ceremonies and activities to protect the smudge healing the spirit and building relatives. Indigenous cultural activities including annual Round Dance Cree language classes summer camps art crafts drumming.
