Ongoing programs

Summer Paddling Program - providing adventure therapy for children youth and adults living with conditions of disability through the use of adaptive kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. Approximately 5 volunteers worked during the summer between 5 to 20 hours per week to serve 40 clients over 24 sessions. 12 of these clients were new to Power For All in 2024 and many attended multiple sessions during the summer. Summer Paddling Program - providing adventure therapy for children youth and adults living with conditions of disability through the use of adaptive kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. Approximately 5 volunteers worked during the summer between 5 to 20 hours per week to serve 40 clients over 24 sessions. 12 of these clients were new to Power For All in 2024 and many attended multiple sessions during the summer. A session consists of a short period of community building equipping for paddling (receiving gear fitting adaptive equipment etc.) paddling instruction and practice food/drink break continue paddling practice return to shore for debrief and cool down. Community self-regulation program and Community motor-development program - part-time hiring of the Executive Director at 22.5 hours per week to provide instruction/training as a licensed Occupational Therapist through therapy to clients and their families in either small-group or individual sessions once or twice per week focusing on self-regulation techniques or motor development for children living with disability. Informing and teaching the families (parents primarily) was also included with opportunities for them to give feedback on the progress experienced with their children throughout the programs.
