THE CENTRE LEASES APPROXIMATELY 8 400 SQUARE FEET OF SPACE. IN THIS SPACE THE SOCIETY HOSTS VISITS BY ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS ON A DAILY BASIS AND THE PUBLIC AT LARGE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR; THROUGH A COMBINATION OF HANDS-ON DISPLAYS AND PRESENTATIONS BY EXPERIENCED EDUCATORS STUDENTS AND FAMILIES ARE EXPOSED TO THE PRINCIPLES OF SCIENCE. THE SOCIETY ALSO CONDUCTS OFF-SITE SCIENCE SHOWS/DEMONSTRATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL TOURS. THE SOCIETY IS ALSO WORKING WITH LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS AND THE LOCAL UNIVERSITY TO EXPAND IT OUTREACH PROGRAMS TO MORE RURAL AREAS OF THE BC INTERIOR. ADULT SCIENCE-THEMED EVENING EVENTS ARE ALSO OFFERED.
