CHWRA MAINTAINS A WILDERNESS AREA OF APPROX. 549 ACRES OF FORESTED LAND WHICH INCLUDES A SYSTEM OF HIKING TRAILS (APPROX. 11KM) AND A WILDERNESS CABIN LOCATED ON THE BEAUTIFUL COXHEALTH HILLS. THE TRAIL SYSTEM AND WILDERNESS CABIN ARE OPEN YEAR-ROUND TO THE PUBLIC. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO OWNS AND OPERATES A COMMUNITY CENTRE (FORMERLY KNOX UNITED CHURCH) AND A CULTURAL ENTRAINMENT CENTRE (FORMERLY KNOX UNITED CHURCH). DURING THE MONTHS OF JULY AND AUGUST THE ASSOCIATION HIRED 3 WORKERS UNDER THE CANADA SUMMER JOBS PROGRAM. THE WORKERS COMPLETED ANNUAL MAINTENANCE ON THE CABIN AND THE TRAIL SYSTEM.
