Ongoing programs

RESCUE: We rescued 395 new homeless or unwanted companion animals and continued to shelter 136 by the end of 2024. ADOPTION: We found homes for 307 homeless pets. We have 216 in permanent foster homes at the end of 2024. LOW INCOME VET CARE: We arrange for 202 pets of low income owners to be spayed/neutered or treated for illness/injury. EDUCATION: We publish information on responsible pet ownership in brochures and on our website. We attend public events promoting responsible pet ownership. We provide opportunities for physically & mentally challenged citizens as well as seniors to visit the shelter and enjoy the companionship of animals. CRISIS BOARDING: We boarded pets for people in crisis situations who temporarily needed a safe place for them.
