Ongoing programs
PROVIDE SUPPORT TO THE RCMP AS 'EXTRA EYES AND EARS' IN THE COMMUNITY. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY VOLUNTEERS USING THEIR OWN VEHICLES TO PATROL STRATCONA COUNTY. RADIO AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO PERFORM THESE PATROLS ARE PROVIDED AS WELL AS TRAINING.

SPEEDWATCH AN ELECTRONIC RADAR CONTROLLED SPEED BOARD IS SET UP AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS TO SHOW DRIVERS THEIR SPEED AS AN AWARENESS. STATISTICS COLLECTED ARE PROVIDED TO LAW ENFORCEMENT. ALSO AS AN AWARENESS A SIMULATED IMPAIRED DRIVING PROGRAM USING PEDAL CARTS AND IMPAIRED VISION GOGGLES - TARGETED MAINLY TO YOUNG DRIVERS
