Ongoing programs
Provide basic academic up-grading literacy programs and developing skills programs for residents of East Hants. Provide affordable and accessible transportation to residents of East Hants. Intergenerational learning targets seniors and aims to have multi generations learn together. Senior specific training for example computer skills. Growing a community garden by the community and for the community. Assisted with food related support through mid week meals and frozen meal program. Offering English conversation classes.
New programs
Digital Literacy Exchange Program: A series of Digital Literacy workshops and programs to improve online safety reduce fraud and improve participants' digital literacy skills. Community Services Recovery Fund (Red Cross): A project to update EHCLA's policies procedures strategic plan governance documents and job descriptions to reflect a post pandemic operations. Policies and procedures were updated to reflect hybrid and remote work environment an online portal was developed and staff received training.
