Support Line Program - We have a bi-lingual support line Chinese and English that operates 7 days a week from 10am till 8:00 pm offering crisis intervention and mental health support. We have taken calls from more than 100 individuals during the covid last year. Depression & Recovery Program - CMWAC has been helping individuals in areas of personal vocational social residential and education for a sustained recovery process. The education piece is focused on inspiration encouragement awareness support and removal of severe stigma associated with mental illness for self-recovery and improvement of quality life. A small group of 8 -10 people gather weekly for social and outreach activities that promote mental wellbeing through art music and community support: singing dancing and tea /coffee meeting. We have over 50 people participating in these events weekly. Youth program - so far we have trained 25 youths to become CMWAC youth ambassadors for Mental Health and two facilitators for the Heart to Heart a Psychological First Aid Station. And have helped run 2 events for Mental Health where Mental Health Public Forum and Youth Submit were delivered with over 200 people attending. Education & Workshops program - Since the Pandemic due to the restriction of in-person gatherings a virtual (via zoom) Psychological First Aid Station and Heart to Heart (in Chinese & English) was immediately launched out bi-weekly to provide mental management aid station hosted by a team of supportive professionals: doctors psychiatrist and counsellors. It is a bilingual province -wide psychoeducation station providing support advocacy and person-centered mental health service available to all interested and concerned people. Monthly 60 people+ from local community. We have achieved this first time Heart to Heart accomplishment to meet the needs of mental management in time of Covid challenges. Also a Public Forum on Mental Health and a Youth Submit were held. Over 400 people attended this event. This is the first of its kind in this region for multicultural mental well-being outdoor public forum held since the pandemic.
