Conducted and disseminated research about the non-profit sector. Convened and organized meetings and workshops on topical issues related to the nonprofit sector. This included a variety of seminars covering topics such as human resources work integrated learning and democratic engagement. Conducted and disseminated research about the non-profit sector. Convened and organized meetings and workshops on topical issues related to the nonprofit sector. This included a variety of seminars covering topics such as human resources work integrated learning and democratic engagement. We also convened a number of communities of practice and hosted a conference. Represented the perspective of Calgary's and Alberta’s nonprofit community on municipal provincial and federal issues through legislative review submissions; pre-budget submissions; and participation in various working groups and advisory tables. Worked with government and private sector to promote understanding of the nonprofit sector and address cross cutting issues such as the Alberta nonprofit and voluntary sector initiative (ANVSI) and the Revenue Canada Charitable Tax Advisory Working Group. Acted as an information clearinghouse and resource centre through channels such as bi-weekly e-newsletter; digital data portals (The Nonprofit Vote ABNN); our website; and various social media platforms. Administered the Boland Survey a national survey on compensation and human resources practices across the non-profit sector and Reach Hire a nonprofit job board for Calgary and area.
