BROKENHEAD RIVER COMMUNITY FOUNDATION INC

The BRCF has several new endowment funds this year and they are as follows: Ernie Tirschmann Memorial Bursary - will provide a bursary to a student who is entering post secondary education in any (sustainable) Natural Resources related field of interest with an emphasis on but not limited to – forestry or crown land management conservation officer extraction of natural resources and the conservation and reclamation of crown lands. Robert Rittwage Memorial Scholarship Fund - will provide a scholarship to a student who is a Beausejour Brokenhead Fire Department high school cadet or entering post secondary education in any emergency services related field of interest with order of preference as follows Fire EMS Police Emergency Management Military and if none of the above Healthcare. Clinton Orr & Jodi Ruta Community Builder Fund - will provide two scholarships to students who demonstrate active volunteer involvement in Ecole Edward Schreyer School sanctioned activities the community of Beausejour/RM of Brokenhead or another community of their choice. Nieckarz/Hill Community Fund - will provide a grant to organizations that aim to improve community gardens parks or playgrounds. Don Greig Fund - will provide two local charities (Beausejour Food Bank and Beausejour Handivan) with funding every year The Best Fund - will provide local organizations with a grant who look to address Seniors Housing issues or further Music or Sports programs.
