Semiahmoo Peninsula Marine Rescue Society supports Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue – Station 5 Crescent Beach(RCMSAR 5) which is a volunteer organization providing marine search and rescue capabilities serving the ocean waters of White Rock South Surrey southern Delta and the Strait of Georgia. RCMSAR Station 5 not only covers boating emergencies; but all locally based water activities in and around White Rock Beach and Crescent Beach the 2 major beaches south of the Fraser River. While continually promoting boating safety; RCMSAR 5 conducts free boat safety inspections and works with many local youth groups to teach safety on the water
