QUEEN CITY BRASS BAND INC.

During the fiscal year ended August 31 2024 Queen City Brass Band carried out the following ongoing charitable programs in furtherance of its purpose of advancing education in the arts: Weekly Ensemble Rehearsals and Musical Instruction The Band conducted structured weekly rehearsals in Regina Saskatchewan providing ensemble-based musical training in the British-style brass band tradition. Rehearsals focused on musicianship technical development interpretation and preparation of repertoire appropriate to the brass band tradition. The program supported both adult and youth musicians and fostered intergenerational mentorship within a collaborative learning environment. Instruction and leadership were provided within the ensemble setting to strengthen participants’ musical skills and knowledge. Public Educational Performances The Band presented public concerts and community performances in Regina and surrounding areas to promote appreciation of brass band music and increase access to live musical arts. These performances served an educational purpose by demonstrating the British-style brass band format and exposing audiences to a broad range of repertoire. All programs were carried out in Canada and were supported primarily by volunteer musicians and board members. Approximately 25–35 volunteer musicians participated regularly in rehearsals and performances throughout the year.
