Research compile and publish scientific and technical information to support conservation and restoration including data on biodiversity watersheds marine ecosystems species at risk and climate change impacts. Develop and distribute educational materials about biodiversity with an emphasis on fish and wildlife habitats freshwater and marine ecosystems and regional conservation issues. Research compile and publish scientific and technical information to support conservation and restoration including data on biodiversity watersheds marine ecosystems species at risk and climate change impacts. Develop and distribute educational materials about biodiversity with an emphasis on fish and wildlife habitats freshwater and marine ecosystems and regional conservation issues. Support community and volunteer groups to engage in conservation activities aligned with our mission. Advocate for the protection of at-risk species critical habitats and freshwater and marine ecosystems including creeks wetlands aquifers eelgrass meadows and intertidal zones. Operate as a registered Land Trust Organization; co-hold monitor and manage six conservation covenants on ecologically significant lands. We also hold a 14-acre parcel of private property as a conservation property which is managed for ecological values. Participate in environmental and land use planning initiatives across the region to support conservation goals. Engage in public and government consultations where conservation values are being evaluated or impacted including efforts to strengthen legislation regulation and policy for environmental protection. Host in-person and virtual conservation education programming including community events talks films educational booths guided walks and ocean-focused festivals. Organize public forums screenings and panel discussions to deepen community dialogue on pressing environmental and conservation issues. In 2024 volunteers contributed well over 2 500 hours to support our conservation programs.
