Guided by the 2021-2026 Strategic Plan in 2024 MOCA continued to present high quality and interdisciplinary contemporary art programming including exhibitions public programmes educational activities and events. The organization works in an artist-centred manner to develop and deliver our programmes providing mentorship and a platform to highlight the work of both local and international artists. The organization works in an artist-centred manner to develop and deliver our programmes providing mentorship and a platform to highlight the work of both local and international artists. MOCA prioritizes equity and accessibility to better serve our diverse community. MOCA's major exhibitions welcomed more than 50 000 visitors and included: Greater Toronto Art 2024 which included works by more than 25 artists as well as Diaries After a Flood by Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas Ear Worm by Alex Da Corte and Interface Remix by Tishan Hsu.
New programs
In 2024 MOCA continued to expand our community oriented offerings. This included the launch of Art Hives a free programme that facilitates community art making and promotes positive mental health and a mentorship programme for newcomer emerging artists. MOCA also offered new types of public programmes tours workshops performances and events.
