Ongoing programs
Worship services at least twice a month. Monthly ministries for women. We employ clergy and pay all clergy expenses. Our clergy provides religious teachings counseling and performs marriages baptismal & funeral services. We pay a travel allowance to clergy to provide home hospital and compassionate care visits to the elderly sick shut-ins and bereaving families. We pay all expenses of a church office and also provide an allowance for the clergy's continuing education. We pay a travel allowance to clergy to provide home hospital and compassionate care visits to the elderly sick shut-ins and bereaving families. We pay all expenses of a church office and also provide an allowance for the clergy's continuing education. We send monthly contributions to the United Church of Canada national office for mission and service work within Canada and around the world. We support the local food bank breakfast for kids programs and programs which provide shelter and necessities for people in distress. We arrange and hold fundraising events for disaster relief special needs within our communities etc. We have an active choir that participates in special services throughout the year which promotes fellowship and fundraising. We have a prayer shawl group to knit or crochet prayer shawls to be presented to the bereaved elderly shut-ins nursing home residents and babies at baptism. We have a birthday/anniversary box in each church to which people donate each Sunday to celebrate family birthdays and anniversaries. The funds collected are donated to worthy organizations at the end of the year.
