Ongoing programs
THIS EDMONTON AND AREA CHOIR PROVIDES SINGERS AGED 14-17 WITH EXCELLENT CHORAL INSTRUCTION AND OPPORTUNITIES TO PERFORM MUSIC FROM A VARIETY OF CULTURES AND GENRES. WE HOLD CHORAL MUSIC WORKSHOPS AND MUSIC PERFORMANCES IN EDMONTON AND ARE FREQUENTLY INVOLVED IN LOCAL NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL FESTIVALS COMPETITIONS AND TOURS. WE PROVIDE BURSARIES TO INDIVIDUAL CHORISTER(S) BASED ON FINIANCIAL NEEDS.
New programs
THIS YEAR WE ADDED A YOUNG ADULT AUDITIONED CHOIR RESOUND FOR ADULTS 18-35 FOR A FULL YEAR PROGRAM. THIS CHAMBER CHOIR REHEARSES AND PERFORMS CHORAL MUSIC AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL LARGELY UNACCOMPANIED WITH PERFORMANCES IN THE EDMONTON AREA. BURSARIES ARE PROVIDED TO CHORISTERS BASED ON FINANCIAL NEEDS. THE EDMONTON YOUTH CHOIR ALSO HELD A 6 WEEK SESSION FOR ADULT TREBLE VOICES IN THE LATE FALL WITH A FINAL PERFORMANCE AT OUR CHRISTMAS CONCERT.
