Continued to install trail maps and markers on trails and undertake trail maintenance with the extensive help of volunteers and acquire maintenance and trail building equipment (with partial funding from through Guelph Community Foundation) Acquired equipment for trail maintenance (with partial funding from the Guelph Community Foundation and Central Counties Tourism). Worked with other participants in the Uxbridge Urban Provincial Park steering committee to identify properties owned by various levels of government (Municipal - Uxbridge Regional - Durham) and Ontario government agencies (TRCA LSRCA) to be included in the Park as well as adjacent lands which could be acquired to expand the Park and/or create trail connections to different sections of the Park. This included preparation of a Vision Map meetings with existing land owners obtaining appraisals of potential land acquisition targets (with assistance from the Greenbelt Foundation) as part of a Park Development Plan. Completed the project with legal counsel related to the Ontario Government's decision and actions to remove lands from the Greenbelt (in particular the Duffin's Rouge Agricultural Preserve) and cancel the related Easements on those properties after the Ontario Government reversed its decision and restored the lands to the Greenbelt.
