Lunch Munch/School Meals Lunch Munch provides home-made and nutritious food at no cost to school aged children in need and their family throughout the year. While we offer these food provisions we also ensure that recipients practise food skills that complement their meal or snack. Good Food Box is a weekly bulk buying produce program that makes healthy produce affordable. BC Farmers Nutrition Coupon program provides education and coupons for registered low income families single parents and seniors to access the farmers market. Gleaning coordinates teams of volunteers to pick local fruit and vegetables surplus to owners reducing food waste and redistributing food to those in need. Resource Centre is open to provide referrals resources with regards to food access food security issues and needs. Community support access to facility including commercial kitchen and meeting rooms; facilitation and coordination related to community development with a food focus. Seedy Sunday collaboration with Nanaimo Community Gardens. Cultivating Abilities Employability Skills Program is a 20-week program in which people who identify as having a disability (neurological diversability) are trained in agriculture the food industry and employability skills and supported in work placement opportunities. GET (Generations Eating Together) brings together community members to share food activities and mentoring. Homegrown is a 16-week program ages 15-30yrs of age with barriers to employment training in employment skills and work placement opportunities. Farm tours - weekly monthly and seasonal hands on practice of urban farming. Get growing videos - virtual classes include hands-on activities inspiring lessons and curricular connections to growing local food. School Gardening- Facilitation of school gardens and provision of Garden in a box program for schools without a garden. Monday Lunch - weekly community meal for downtown community. School Break Camps - day camps with a focus on food growing and cooking sills. Let's Eat Cooking Classes - basic low cost nutritious cooking skills for children and adults. Youth Resilience- participation in multi organization program to strengthen youth in community.
