THEY PARTICIPATED IN THE REGENERON INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE & ENGINEERING FAIR (ISEF) HELD IN LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA FROM MAY 11-17 WINNING 7 AWARDS. TWO STUDENTS REPRESENTED CANADA AT THE 2024 EUROPEAN UNION CONTEST FOR YOUNG SCIENTIST (EUCYS) WINNING SECOND AND THIRD PLACE AWARDS. 4. SMARTER SCIENCE IS A FRAMEWORK FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING SCIENCE IN K-12 FEATURING PROFESSIONAL LEARNING WORKSHOPS AND RESOURCES TO HELP TEACHERS INTRODUCE INQUIRY AND PROJECT-BASED STEM IN THEIR CLASSROOMS. 5. MYSTEMSPACE FOCUSES ON DEVELOPING ONLINE AND COMMUNITY-BASED SUPPORT FOR YOUTH WORKING ON STEM PROJECTS. IN 2024 YSC CONTINUED TO REFINE THE MYSTEMSPACE WEB SITE AND THE YSC PORTAL TO SUPPORT THE REGISTRATION OF YOUTH AT THE ENTRY REGIONAL AND NATIONAL LEVELS AS WELL AS THE MANAGEMENT OF REGIONAL STEM FAIRS AND THE CWSF.
