Ongoing programs
Ongoing programs of the Penticton Seniors' Drop-In Centre (PSDICS) include crafts (both knitting and crocheting) our special Tuesday lunches many card games (bridge crib canasta and mah jong) many dance activities (6 different levels of line dance) chair dance yoga mat yoga and chair yoga Pilates Conversation french and spanish ongoing social functions fundraising education series and physical activities like carpet bowling and billiards to promote our vision of providing healthy active aging in an inclusive caring safe supportive and affordable environment. We were able to attract over 213 volunteers with a total of 29 940 hours totalling $598 812. in the last fiscal year. Our median age continues to go down which is great. Many younger baby boomers are starting to become more active.
