Ongoing programs
TAG provides opportunities for individual development in the craft of live theatrical productions as well as providing a social and creative outlet for otherwise potentially isolated seniors. TAG produced four full productions this year beginning with Norm Foster's On a First Name Basis in September Diana Kimpton's Santa Claus the Panto in November a special presentation of select Gilbert & Sullivan songs in January local playwright Nick Jupp's Murder Tonight in March and hosted a Spring Festival/Community outreach in late May. TAG provides opportunities for individual development in the craft of live theatrical productions as well as providing a social and creative outlet for otherwise potentially isolated seniors. TAG produced four full productions this year beginning with Norm Foster's On a First Name Basis in September Diana Kimpton's Santa Claus the Panto in November a special presentation of select Gilbert & Sullivan songs in January local playwright Nick Jupp's Murder Tonight in March and hosted a Spring Festival/Community outreach in late May. TAG On-line initiated in 2020 continued to contribute producing several original programs (All Hallows Eve The Emperor of the Moon) providing alternative formats for the enjoyment of productions as well as expanding the scope of volunteer opportunities within the Guild. Our volunteers were also engaged in the routine maintenance and upkeep of the theatre's physical space another key component of the production of live theatre. TAG has no paid employees and is 100% volunteer run engaging a wide array of citizens but particularly senior citizens in social and creative endeavors.
